ATV winches
Of course, ATV winches are great things for you to have, but they should be well understood in order to be able to truly know how to use them most effectively.
When trying to make sure that the wiring of the winch is hooked up properly and that it will work well, you can do a few different things. If you follow the directions, you should be able to make sure the wiring is working and make sure that things are hooked up correctly.
There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest is to run the winch direct from the battery. When you do this, you should use the switch as a breaker. One of the things that you may want to try is to hook it up direct to the battery red to positive and then ground the black.
This is one of the safer ways to do something like this since you can know that you will not be able to mess up the wiring harness, even if you were to accidentally make a mistake.
This way you wouldn't screw up the wiring harness if you was to make a mistake.
Use the switch to break the positive lead from the battery to the winch. It is also important that you take precautions to make sure that you have a good clean ground like metal to metal. If you have this, you can scratch off the paint if need be in addition to hooking up to the negative on the battery.These tips should allow you to make sure the ATV winches stay in working order without having to mess too much with any additional wiring.
